We are so glad you are here and excited to share with you our holistic, transparent, and equitable approach to employee pay.

Compete is a platform that takes the guess work out of compensation planning by harnessing the power of verified data uploaded by our customers to provide deep insights on salary, benefits and equity market data.

At Compete our motto is “People Are Everything”, and since our platform is designed by HRs for HRs, we're committed to helping you and your team plan your workforce without a single spreadsheet in order to achieve your short and long-term business goals.

What is Compete?

Compete is your home for all the compensation & benefits data you need to improve your hiring decisions and enhance your organizational retention and planning. As the go-to tool used by leading technology companies worldwide, Compete assists HR leaders, CFO, and executive teams to make better, real-time, data-driven decisions when they hire and retain employees by giving them up-to-date, verified benchmarks and insights.

How do we capture this data?

Compete harnesses the power of the collective by utilizing a “give a little get a lot” model. Every customer shares their data in order to gain access to the system. Our data compiles hundreds of leading customers, from top-tier startups to unicorns and publicly traded companies. This growing customer database consists of all sectors of the market which you can use to understand where you sit relative to certain parts of the market.

Generating insights about your company with our data!

Compete is all about helping you make better decisions and establishing a more trusted relationship with your employees and potential candidates. We do this by drawing insights about your organization's compensation levels relative to market salaries.

  1. Our platform takes your employee compensation data and compares these figures to the relevant market-related compensation levels we have.

  2. It then summarizes these results in a range called a percentile range which is represented from 0% to 100%.

  3. Every role in our system has a benchmark range - from minimum to maximum, including 10%, 25%, Median (50%), 75%, and 90%.

  4. The summary charts that you see in the platform record where each of your employees in your organization falls across the percentile range.

< 0% (Under) = Employees whose salaries fall below the market benchmark minimum salary range.
    > 100% (Over) = Employees whose salaries exceed the market benchmark salary range's maximum salary range.

⚠️ Benchmark salary ranges viewed from your company's account do not include your employees' salaries.
