Uploading your employee data via Employment Hero

This guide will outline the steps needed to download your employee data from your HRIS, Employment Hero and using the data to fill in our data template Excel file so you can easily upload your employee data to Compete!

Creating a custom report using Employment Hero

2. Click the Reports main menu.

3. Click the Custom Report submenu.
4. Click the Create New Report button.

5. Fill in the Report name field.

6. Exclude terminated employees.

7. Make sure the Report type is 'Create my own'.

8. Make sure the following Employment Hero fields are selected from the available fields list. The table below shows the required Employment Hero fields and their equivalent field in Compete data template Excel file.

Depending on whether some of the data is located in custom fields or not (e.g. bonuses & commissions), you may want to select them as well to make sure you export all the necessary information to fill in Compete's data template Excel file.

9. Click 'Create'.

10. Click 'Download CSV'.

Now you can import the data in the CSV to an Excel workbook or Google sheets and use it to fill Compete's data template Excel file and upload it to Compete.
