How can I find Gender pay gaps using Compete?

The overview page gives a high level view of your organization compared to the benchmark. You can see how many employees you have in every decile (percentiles in jumps of 10%) to identify pay gaps and see where you are vs. your comp philosophy.

To identify gender gaps, use the Employee Filters to look at males, females or non-binary employees separately. In the future, we may add a side by side comparison.

  1. See how many employees you have of each gender

  2. See the positional average of all employees of that gender to easily identify gaps.

  3. See the distribution of employees of that gender between deciles.


The People Page allows you to drill down into individual employee data, seeing where they stand compared to the benchmark and compared to other employees.

The same Employee Filters available in the Overview Page are also available in the People Page, so slicing the data per gender can easily be done.

If you prefer working in Excel, exporting your data from the People Page is two clicks away (see below)

When looking at specific genders, you can filter the Percentile column and see how many employees of that gender fall below your comp philosophy threshold.
