Pay Zone & Site Mapping

What is it?

Instead of assigning each employee an office and home location, you can now assign your employees to a site. Each site will be mapped to a pay zone.
The pay zone can be anywhere in the world, allowing Compete to support new locations in the future when more and more employees will be assigned to new pay zones.
Additionally, it will streamline the location mapping process and allow you to easily manage and get an overview of your employees per site.

How does it work?

New onboarding customers:

Existing customers:
Via Settings > Site Mapping you can:
◉ Associate sites (as they appear in the HRIS) with a physical location, and/or, mark sites as remote.
◉ Automatically allocate employees to locations based on mapping. When marking a site as remote - all the employees will be automatically marked as remote. These employees will need to be associated with a remote location.
◉ Add / Remove sites within Compete (HRIS sites cannot be deleted).

  • In addition, via 'Edit data table' in People page you can:
    Update an employee site.

  • Mark the employee as Remote (if marked as remote, you will need to associate the employee with a remote location).​

Similar to the Site Mapping tab in Settings page, You can map your pay zone by clicking the 'Actions' button on the top right corner > 'Pay Zone Mapping'.
