How has Compete determined the sector of my company?
The sector taxonomy evaluation was based on the following criteria:
Primary functionality of the company
Core technologies
The expertise required by the company’s employees
How can I update my company’s sector?
There are two ways in which admin users can update the sector of the company (along with its global headcount and funding stage):
1. Via Settings > Company Profile
2. By clicking the "Your company details" link at the top of the benchmark filters section.
I can’t find the sector I’m looking for in the benchmark filters. What can I do?
In this case, you can select “Other”. Other aggregates many other sectors of the tech industry.
How can I exclude a specific sector from the benchmark?
You can exclude a specific sector by selecting all the other sectors except the one you want to exclude. For example:
